Why the Offer Beats Your Skills
The offer sets your earning ceiling: payout, product demand, approval rate, GEO. The best creative and landing page won't save you if nobody wants the product or the payout doesn't cover your traffic. That's why picking the offer is your first decision, not your last.
What to Look At
- Payout vs. traffic cost — the payout needs to cover your CPA in your GEO with room to spare. Estimate your EPC upfront.
- Offer GEO — which countries it accepts, and whether cheap traffic for your source exists there.
- Conversion type — a signup is easier than a deposit, a deposit is easier than a sale. The harder the action, the lower the CR but the higher the payout.
- Caps — whether they're big enough for your volume.
- Trend / season — a product that's riding a wave converts better (new releases, seasonal goods).
- Competition — check it with a spy tool: if an offer has been running widely for a while, it works (but it's competitive).
Signs of a "Live" Offer
- It's been running in spy tools for weeks (someone's earning → the offer converts);
- The affiliate network manager recommends it themselves and gives you a cap;
- Fresh creatives keep showing up (the market is alive);
- A reasonable hold and approval rate (for COD the approval rate is critical).
Signs of a "Dead" Offer
- Silence in the spy tools, or just a few stale old ads;
- The manager is pushing it with no cap and no specifics;
- An inflated payout "like nowhere else" — often bait for shaving;
- A GEO with no cheap traffic for your source.
How to Test an Offer
Don't fall in love with one offer — grab 2-3 similar ones in the vertical and run them on a small test budget with identical traffic. Whichever gives the better ROI is the one you scale. The same product often has a different payout and approval rate across networks.
Bottom Line
First pick a profitable offer (live in the spy tools, a reasonable payout for the GEO, a solid approval rate) — and only then invest in creatives and landing pages. Choose your vertical in the guide, and grab landing pages for your offer from the pool or made to order.
